With vibrant colours and unique twists on traditional bridal elements, graphic designer Taisha Bosher achieved a wonderfully alternative yet natural aesthetic when she married photographer and DJ Alex Uncapher in 2018.
Hosted by Aster Cafein Minneapolis, Minnesota the couple said their vows in the modern yet laidback setting of the 'River Room', overlooking the Mississippi River, in front of their closest family and friends.
The fun and romance of the day were captured on film by Minnesota based photographer Meg Cooper, who managed to catch the full beauty of Taisha's intricately detailed lace dress and veil.
Taisha chose a beautiful bridal gown from Bella Bridal Galleryin Michigan and paired it with a floor length full lace edged ivory wedding veil 'Luisa' from Britten Weddings. The bridal look was accessorised with cute blue strappy sandals from Marc Fisher Footwear and jewellery from Filigree Jewelers.
Taisha teamed her dress with an exotic bouquet or bright blooms, jungle fruits, and tropical foliage from Colleens Flower Cellar in perfect sync with the 'tastefully tropical' theme running throughout the wedding.
“We both love jungle vibes and wanted to incorporate the lush green leaves, but also had some restraints with classic fashion, urban architecture and modern décor”
Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a steel drum version of Felix Mendelssohn’s 'Wedding March' before relaxing and dancing away to Alex's self-curated playlist of dancehall themes and old-school R&B favourites.
The wedding party enjoyed delicious food and sweet treats from the Aster Cafe, and a minimalist but tasty coconut flavoured wedding cake from Cocoa & Fig.
Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous wedding photographs with us Taisha, we love how well the Luisa veil complemented your dress, and how you used colour and bold prints to contrast with a traditional bridal look to achieve a contemporary vibe. We wish you both the very best of luck in the future.
