Our beautiful Real Bride Danni married her groom in August 2018, at Trinity Church in Lewes, followed by a rustic and fun reception at their friend’s dairy farm.
Photographer Luke Woodford perfectly captured the country charm and bespoke and handmade details of this couple’s day.
Danni wore the ‘Gericault’ dress, by french designer Lambert Creations, purchased at MODE Bridal Boutique. The gown had a lace-detailed bodice and delicate buttons under a low back. Paired with an intricate floral hairpiece bought on Etsy and Ted Baker earrings, the bride’s look was elegant and romantic. Her hair was styled in a low plaited chignon by Harleigh Slaughter, and her makeup was done by Beckie Howie, both based in Brighton.
Danni’s outfit was completed with our silk style cut edge veil, ‘Isabella’. The soft and flowing single tier veil sat perfectly underneath her hairpiece, draping down the back of her gown, complementing the subtle button detail.
The ceremony took place at the couple’s local church in Lewes, Trinity Church, the bride made her entrance to music composed by her mother, making the ceremony even more special and personal.
“My most memorable moment was standing outside the church with my 7 bridesmaids about to walk in and see my husband to be! My mum also composed our entrance music, making a new rendition of ‘Highland Cathedral’ by Ulrich Roever and Michael Korb”
The personal touches didn’t stop there, as the reception took place on an old dairy farm owned by a friend of the couple. Using several different shaped marquees supplied by Abbey catering services, the couple made a beautiful space for celebrating, including space for a band and a dance floor:
“Decorated in bountiful foliage and Ash trees around every pole it was exactly as I had dreamed.”
Even the food was bespoke and hand catered by the bride herself and friends, with the cake designed by Danni’s friend, Emily Fitter of Emily’s Mixing Bowl.
“Most of the food was catered by myself including our incredible ‘Nac and Guac Shack’ for evening food – Nachos with various toppings. We then cut the cake and shared loads of homemade treats for pudding!”
The couple made sure there was lots of fun to be had at the reception, including a clay pigeon shoot and an arm wrestling table on an old barrel (a lovely nod to the groom, who loves to arm wrestle)
The couple’s first dance was to Lionel Richie’s ‘All Night Long’, and the couple and their guests then continued the evening with dancing,
“After our first dance performed by a 7-piece Motown band we partied the night away and finished with cooking marshmallows around the fire and camping under the stars!”
Thank you so much to Danni for sharing these beautiful images and words with us, your wedding looked so beautiful and fun! We wish you and your husband so much happiness in the years to come.
