Kelly and Stephen's fairytale of a wedding was held at the beautiful Gaynes park in Epping. The beautiful grounds of this beautiful barn conversion site and cloud-dappled sky gave the most beautiful backdrop for photographer “Julia and You” to capture some lovely shots of this couple
After postposing 3 times due to covid restrictions the day could not have been better! Their son, Charlie, was the best ring bearer anyone could ask for, making the whole room erupt with laughter over his bow at the presentation of the rings. The sheer joy of seeing friends and family after so long meant the day became even more emotional than expected.
Kelly wore a Nicole Milano gown however after so long postponing and waiting around she decided to have a seamstress friend make alterations to make it feel more her! Her friend added the amazing sleeves and illusion back as well as restructuring the dress. Kelly said this made it the dress of her dreams and “brought back the wedding magic”
For accessories Kelly wore a Barely there Skylar veil made from traditional tulle. Her silver hand beaded Gladys earrings gave the perfect glint of silver to match the beading at the top of the dress. Her jacket, an Allsaints piece, was a nod to where the couple met many years previously working together.
Inspiration for the wedding came from all sorts of places for Kelly! Pintrest, Rock my wedding, and many others however Kelly found the most help from her suppliers. She said
“I have to also have to throw in our amazing suppliers as a source of inspiration, especially our florist Clare Luke and our photographer Julia West. Their sheer talent and creativity inspired us.
All our suppliers and Gaynes Park have been amazing throughout the whole process and have been a real pillar of strength during lockdown last year. They felt like our supportive friends not just suppliers . My husband and I cannot thank them enough .”
For their honeymoon they’ll be off the the lake district followed by island hopping in Bali next year! We wish Kelly and Stephen the best of luck in their new life together, may it be a long and happy one!
