Meet Lou and her new husband Phil. This gorgeous couple tied the knot amongst autumn leaves on September 18th 2021. The close-knit wedding was captured with the brilliant eye of photographer Nikki Paxton.
The scenic backdrop to their special day was Jesmond Dene Housein Newcastle upon Tyne. Turning of the leaves in the beautiful gardens at Jesmond bring Autumnal warmth to a wedding day they are sure to never forget.
Lou wore an intricately beaded dress which was found second-hand on eBay for a steal of £30, but with the way she wears it it looks a million dollars. Her veil was kindly lent to her by her sister, while her mother gifted her a stunning set of 'Addie' wedding earrings, made from crystal and freshwater pearls.
Her lovely sister also made the bouquet and buttonholes. Sister-in-law to be created gorgeous flowers for the day while her new Mother-in-law made the wedding cake. A wedding so well supported by both sides of the family is such a joy to see, all willing to dig in and help out where they can.
Following on from the family theme Louise’s beautiful engagement ring is her grandmother's from the 1970s, reworked to make it her own but still holding such memory and heart. It was a swift engagement of only 12 weeks, but they say when you know you know!
This Britten Bride was walked down the aisle by her beautiful boys, aged seven months and two and a half years.
As an ode to where the happy couple met, The french Alps on a skiing trip, “Ain’t no mountain high enough” was played while they exited the ceremony. This joyful exit is the perfect start to what we’re sure to be a long and happy life together!
