We had the most amazing time at Melanie Giles salon in Bradford on Avon last week for the mini photo shoot of our new Wedding Hairpin Collection! This salon is beautifully decorated and every time we get the chance to visit them we always feel so envious of those who get to work in there! The upstairs section of the salon is dedicated to bridal preparation, an ideal space to spend your wedding day morning prepping with your bridesmaids particularly in front of the cosy log fire while waiting to get your hair, make up and nails done!

We spent the morning trying out different hairstyles deciding on which ones would be best suited for the different hairpins. A lot of inspiration came from hairstyles we’d been researching on Pinterest. We highly recommend Pinterest to those who’ve recently got engaged, there are so many fabulous wedding ideas on it to keep you inspired. Ashlee, the stylist from Melanie Giles, did an amazing job creating three different looks for us and gave us suggestions how to best place the pins within the hairstyle. 

Choosing a hairstyle for a wedding is a bit like choosing a wedding dress - you have to try a lot of different styles, even ones that you wouldn't necessarily think of trying. A hairstyle may look completely different once finished off with all the right accessories. The great thing about each of our wedding hairpins is that they can be styled with any hair style whether you have your heart set on something sleek and sophisticated or something soft and whimsical. Keep trying out different looks by simply adding a single pin or lots of pins at a time for a more statement look.
