Our gorgeous bride Erin got married in July this year at the stunning Eton College Chapel. The day was rich in tradition, personal touches and themes showing off the couples greatest loves.
Erin came for an appointment at our lovely boutique in Bradford on Avonin the October of last year. She was able to chose pieces that would best compliment her stunning Jenny Packham gown. Erin had a colour in mind that she wanted to incorporate in to her hand made pieces. She worked with our team to create bespoke designs and make the items she chose completely unique to her.
Erin chose the Marina drop veil in her appointment and was able to talk to us about options to make it more bespoke. The Marina veil is made using Illusion tulle and Erin opted for a silver pencil edge minus the crystals to really show off her incredible dress.
Erin chose two bespoke head pieces and wanted to add the colour emerald green in to the designs. A gorgeous bespoke hand beaded headband and hair comb were created based on our Evelyn headbandand Lolanthe hair comb. Gorgeous emerald green crystals and beads were used to create these lovely pieces.
Erin carefully selected all of her bridal accessories, each piece having a story and personal meaning behind them. Her beautiful emerald earringswere made to match her striking emerald engagement ring and were a present from her parents.
''I also wore a diamond tennis bracelet that belonged to my late aunt, which my cousin brought all the way from Australia for me to wear on the day as my something borrowed and was really special as it made me feel like my aunt was there in spirit''
Erin's something old was a gold cross that belonged to her great-grandmother that her florist pinned to her bouquet. She also wore a gold Tiffany & Co bracelet that she wears daily. It was a gorgeous gift from her husband from years ago and holds a lot of sentimental value.
Erin's hair and makeup looked stunning with hairdresser Aria Hussain and makeup artist Louise Jacksoncreating her beautiful look for her special day.
The couple's reception was held at Stoke place, just outside of London, where they were joined by family member Buddy who entertained guests and looked very dapper in his floral collar. This was made, along with all of Erin's beautiful flowers for the day, by floral designer Sarah from Love at First Sight Styling.
Erin found instagram a great inspiration when it came to planning her day. In particular Love My Dress and Rock My Wedding. The couple had quite a few themes, special to them, that they wanted to incorporate into their day. Erin's favourite colour is green which was added through her accessories, her bespoke shoes from Emmy London and her bridesmaids dresses.
Erin grew up in South Africa and wanted to reflect her South African heritage in her wedding day. Her bouquets each had a King Protea, South Africa's national flower, and her stationery featured them also intertwined with roses to reflect the couples respective heritages. Amarula truffles were gorgeous favours for the guests, Amarula is a liqueur made from the fruit of the Marula tree in South Africa.
Erin's favourite South African touch and favourite moment of the day came from The Rodolfus Choir who sang at the chapel.
‘’The African music in the very old and grand chapel was just incredible!’’

The last but by no means least important theme that feature in Erin's day was the couples joint love of bicycles. The couple met on the Oxford University Mountain Biking team and wove their love of cycling in to the day from invitations to bikes used as decorations with flowers in the baskets.
The couple asked guests to donate to a charity close to their hearts called Qhubeka which gives bicycles to people in rural areas in South Africa where transport options are extremely limited. They hope to continue raising funds when they go on the first part of their honeymoon next year. They will be taking part in an 8 day mountain-bike stage race called the Cape Epic.
