With Christmas only a few days away, our favourite blog posts this week are inspired by this festive season. They are infused with fabulous colour combinations, wintery reception styling, snow and how to create DIY holiday centrepiece with a twist!
This styled shoot featured by Ruffled blog showcases how bringing two strong colours together such warm reds with deep velvet blues can create a wonderful luxurious feel, and adding touches of gold only makes it more and more festive. Using a blue table cloth rather than the traditional white can create an amazing ‘wow’ factor.

What we particularly love about this winter styled shoot is the ceremony alter! How creative is this? It could be something that you could quite easily do for an outdoor wedding any time of the year, either to use for the ceremony, or to use for your guests to put their drinks down on for an outdoor drinks reception. This can be easily dressed up like in this shoot with a candelabra and some flowers to make it elegant, or give it a more relaxed feel with candles in jars and bunting!

This tablescape is just out of this world, full of detail with pops of red to make it feel festive. The tartan runner styled with the red napkins, touches of wood, green foliage and delicate white flowers gives this shoot a great rustic, wintery feel. Plus a groom in a red velvet blazer? Fabulous!
