This summer has undoubtedly been incredibly strange for all, even more so for those who have had their wedding plans drastically changed or cancelled last minute. Our hearts go out to all of those affected but we have been so privileged to have seen some beautiful weddings that have been able happen. It made our day to see these stunning images of our real bride Imogen who kindly sent us some pictures from her big day in July.
"We were meant to get married in April 2020 but sadly couldn't because of lockdown. As soon as the announcement was made that weddings were allowed again we were on the phone to our vicar- and the church was able to fit us in on 11 July! We therefore had a very manic two and a half weeks trying to arrange everything (I joked with my husband that I felt like we were on an episode of Don't Tell the Bride!). However all our family and friends were super helpful and accommodating and we were able to get married in a small intimate ceremony with less than 30 guests. We also live-streamed it to those who couldn't be there. We then headed straight off to our honeymoon on the Isles of Scilly-we couldn't have a reception so we'll be celebrating and having a blessing with all our original guests at a later date!"
The ceremony took place at Magdalen College Chapel in Oxford and these beautiful pictures were captured by Rachel Movitz. Imogen wore a gown from Andrea Hawkes Bridal which she bought at their studio in Clerkenwell. She finished her bridal look with our extra wide wedding veil Niacae in church length.
