With the sun shining brightly, Britten Bride Jessica said 'I do' in a church ceremony steeped in family tradition. The beautiful Salisbury church location held an extra special significance for her:
"We got married at a church where seven generations of my family had previously got married, so it meant so much to me to be getting married there as well"
The joy and romance of the day were captured on camera by Lucy Waddell from Lucy Lou Photography as the wedding party moved from the church to the reception venue at Burcombe Manor in Salisbury.
'When I was walking down the aisle and I could see Tom, my now husband. I was so nervous about walking down the aisle, but as soon as I saw his face smiling back at me I felt like we were in a bubble. A feeling I will never forget.'
Jessica chose a classic look for her bridal outfit, wearing the strapless lace 'Gloria' fishtail wedding dress by bridal designer Anna Sorrano, purchased from Wed2B.
Our Britten Bride did her own natural make-up look, pairing barely there shades with a romantic half up half down hairstyle by Jadene Joy, with softly tousled brunette curls complementing her traditional bridal style perfectly.
Jessica accessorised her wedding gown with shoes by Rainbow Club, and our single tier cut edge silk style wedding veil - 'Isabella' in a bespoke length. Talking about her veil, Jessica said she was:
'So happy to find the most perfect veil to go with my wedding dress, something that would not hide the lace detail on my dress.'
And, sticking with tradition, she completed her bridal outfit with her mum's wedding garter as her 'something old'.
The bridal bouquet was made up of pink and cream roses with eucalyptus accents, with the venue decorated with flowers by independent florist Shirley Snells.
'One of the most memorable moments of the day was when the florist brought my bouquet to the house on the morning of the wedding. I had been having repeated nightmares about this bouquet for months, worrying that the flowers wouldn't be right when they arrived. However, that morning as the lady pulled them out the box they were just absolutely perfect! It brought me to tears I was so happy with how they had turned out!'
Arriving at the reception at Burcombe Manor, guests were seated in a marquee in the garden.
'It was very much a DIY wedding with lots of the inspiration coming from Pinterest. We were very lucky to have lots of our family and friends help us the day before the wedding to turn all of the ideas that were in my head into a reality, and after a week of constant rain, the sun did not stop shining on our special day.'
After eating the delicious food provided by Norma Farrelly Catering, guests watched the bride and groom cut the stunning 'Cake Luxe' wedding cake by cake designer Claire before they showed off their moves on the dancefloor to the chart hit sounds of Hampshire based wedding band The Magic Tones.
We've really enjoyed looking at the photos of your wedding day, thank you Jessica and Tom.
