In September last year, real bride Beth got married in an elegant day at Belvoir Castle. These beautiful images were captured by Matt Brown.
The bride wore a lovely lace detailed backless bespoke dress, designed by Andrea Hawkes. Her accessories were beautifully personal, as she wore her mum’s sapphire and diamond earrings, and a fresh floral hairpiece made for her by her florist, Jeannie Williamson. Her hair was done by James White, and makeup by Ali Gunn.
The look was completed with our silk style semi lace edge leaf veil, Cali.Made with soft tulle and very delicate leaf detailed lace, this veil is so floaty and creates such a gentle effect.
“The veil was absolutely beautiful and the service from Britten was excellent. You were so so helpful, professional and considering it was just a few weeks before the wedding day and I was slightly worried about timing, my appointment was relaxed”
This is what Beth shared with us about the special day,
“After a small & intimate family legal wedding at Langar Hall a few days earlier, we celebrated with our family and friends at Belvoir Castle. Our ceremony was in the castle itself in the ball room, followed by cream teas & fizz in the rose garden. Our reception was at a beautiful spot on the Belvoir estate called Frog Hollow (surrounded by woodland with a lake). We loved the scenery and greenery so went for a completely clear marquee, decorated with tree branches and foliage to really make the most of the setting. Belvoir Castle is where my grandmother met my grandfather, when they worked in service as a servant and butler. I grew up near by, the setting is stunning and we wanted to get married somewhere that would be a special place for us to return to.”
“The only part of the day that didn't fly by was the journey to the wedding, where the beautiful classic car driven by one of our best men (Rod) was making dubious noises, chugging & spitting along, but we made it with a top speed of around 15 miles per hour. We arrived a little late but full of smiles with a very relieved & worried looking best man!”
