Beautiful bride, Georgie, and her new husband, Olly, were married in a stunning setting of Autumnal leaves, pumpkins and flowers that set the warm tone for the day. The wedding was photographed by the talented James Fear, who captured their intimate day perfectly.
Georgie wore a timeless dress from Essense of Australia, which she purchased at Cotswold Frock Shop. The ‘Ilona’, a silk style, Barely There wedding veil compliments the gorgeous plunging neckline on the silk bodice and highlights the beautiful details of the tulle over lace applique.
The venue of the gorgeous Oxleaze Barn was the perfect location for Georgie’s Autumn inspired wedding, filled with character. Not to mention the stunning fireplace that instantly warms the entire room.
The rustic barn was filled with decorative items that were lovingly made by Georgie herself; from gold gilded pumpkins to handcrafted leaf table place cards, all adding to the seasonal cosy textures and warm colours. Even the candles that were passed out as wedding favours were made by Georgie, including the signage and designs of the boxes!
Completing the decorations in the Barn, the floral arrangements were designed and created by The Bespoke Flower Company. Georgie’s vision was autumnal warmth, and Emma followed the brief down to the letter, using tones of orange and red throughout. Even the smallest of details were included in the bouquet, incorporating the fragrance that Georgie wears day to day, adding to how much love and care went into the planning of this wedding.
The inspiration behind all these fantastic creations came from Pinterest boards and blogs like Rock My Wedding but was mostly driven by her dream of having an Autumn themed wedding.
Georgie and Olly’s guests were treated to a combination of pie and mash, as well as a selection of canapés and evening food. The incredible three-tier cake, adorned with roses, eucalyptus and gold foil, was made by Georgie - our talented real bride is also a hobby baker in her free time and had always dreamed of making her own cake! Alongside this, Georgie also made a trio of her and Olly’s favourite desserts; pumpkin pie, macarons and chocolate brownies.
As with all our real brides, we asked what her most memorable moment was on her special day, but for Georgie, there wasn’t just one moment and instead, the whole day will be etched into her memory forever:
“I mean, there’s so many. Olly and I wrote our own vows. I was so nervous to read them and to walk down the aisle, but I remember this wave of pure joy and excitement as I turned in to see Olly at the bottom of the aisle and I was just so excited to hear what he had written. There were definitely some tears too. My dad seeing me for the first time was very special. We only had 30 people so we had a very intimate wedding, but it was just full of love and happiness and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.”
Every part of Georgie and Olly’s day was thought through, and there was meaning and love behind everything that was done. Georgie’s love of Autumn can be found in every part of her day, and the detail that went into this day can’t go unnoticed.
